Actors Who Didn’t Get Along On Set

When one sees actors and actresses on-screen, one reasonably expects that they all get along–they’re making a movie together, after all. But that’s not always the case.

An example would be stars like Naya Rivera and Lea Michele on the set of Glee–especially since, as the main star, Michele didn’t like to share the spotlight. The weird thing about this was that even their characters didn’t get along well either. But what is shocking is that a few onscreen couples don’t have that off-screen chemistry going for them. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, who both played a couple that were madly in love with each other, never got along behind the camera. And they fought to such a degree that one of them got fired from the show because of it.

Viewers can’t really tell what’s going on behind the camera especially when the acting is really good. Here is a list of some actors who didn’t get along on set.

1.Will Smith And Janet Hubert

On the Set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith and Janet Hubert (who played Aunt Viv) would always quarrel. The actress wanted more airtime on the show and argued with Smith behind the scenes all the time. The environment on the show eventually got so uncomfortable because of the bickering that was often started by Hubert that she was eventually replaced.

Smith admitted that Hubert wanted to be on the spotlight so much that she probably wanted the show to be named Aunt Viv of Bel-Air. The actress didn’t think it fair that they treated Smith as the bigger investment between the two of them.

2.The Rock And Vin Diesel

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson starred in the franchise of The Fast and the Furious. In 2016. After wrapping up The Fate of the Furious, the Rock took to Instagram to share some sentiments regarding his co-star.

The actor praised all his female co-stars but said that some male co stars were very unprofessional. It was no doubt that the Rock was talking about Vin Diesel. Apparently, Diesel rubbed Johnson the wrong way and had the actor’s blood boiling. Diesel must have lit some gas on fire to get this reaction from the Rock.

3.Bette Davis And Joan Crawford

Both actresses were known to have a long running feud. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford both starred in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, and it’s been reported that they kept fighting while shooting. It had reached such an infuriating degree, and Davis reportedly hit Crawford on the head at one point. Crawford, on the other hand, put rocks inside her costume for a scene where she was supposed to be dragged by Davis so that Davis would strain her back.

The feud must have made the heads of production staff hurt. Good thing the two of them didn’t hurt each other to the point of hospitalization because that probably wouldn’t have been covered by their insurance.

4.Nathan Fillion And Stana Katic

Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic constantly fought on the set of Castle. The two of them played a madly in love couple but they just didn’t click offset. Eventually, their disagreements weren’t doing any good for the series so their characters split up and Katic was removed from the show.

5.Naya Rivera And Lea Michele

Not wanting to share the spotlight seems to be common with these actors and actresses. Glee costars Naya Rivera and Lea Michele were doing well together at first, but when Rivera’s character Santana stayed on the TV show permanently, Michele seemed to drift apart and started ignoring Rivera.

Rivera shared that it seemed like Michele didn’t want to share the spotlight with her and that the actress seemed to always feel like Rivera was trying to attack her. To their credit, this didn’t affect the great production of the TV series.
