Jackie Guerrido

TV anchor and journalist Jackie Guerrido was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She was transferred to a domestic shelter when she was only 7 years old, following issues at home. Although she doesn’t have a degree, Jackie worked hard and eventually managed to move to New York City with her family. She did voice work for a morning show and later got offered a job from WRMA 106.7 in Miami. Jackie stayed there for a year, before she joined the HBC Radio Company to co-host a radio program for news and traffic updates.

As they say, hard work pays off and in Jackie’s case, it certainly did. She even dabbled in music, while working as a TV reporter! With her success, it might surprise you to learn that she gave birth to a son during her teenage years. At 16, she became a single mom, but that didn’t hinder her from going after her dreams.
